The most significant impacts of the certification project were as follows:

• Residential units are equipped with indoor climate control systems, the energy consumption of which can be monitored and adjusted either via an in-apartment display or through the internet.
• The parking garage roof features a richly landscaped garden, providing residents with a pleasant recreational space within the urban environment.
• The residential building rooftops are covered with a reflective coating that reduces solar heat gain, thereby helping to mitigate the “urban heat island effect” and lowering cooling demand caused by dark surfaces.
